How does the shop work?

There are 2 distinct areas to your shop. One is the side that your customers see with information about your company, images and details of your products, the facility to add items to their shopping basket and pay online for them.

The other area is password protected where you will manage and maintain the products in your shop, update information and track your orders. This is what we call the admin area.

What does managing my shop involve?

Keeping your site up to date is important. How much time you wish to spend on it once it's up and running depends entirely on you. But the more effort you put in, the more you'll get out of it.

Once you start using your shop and adding products on a regular basis, you'll be surprised at how easy it is.

You will be able to:

• Create and edit general information pages
• Create new product categories and/or sub categories as your range expands
• Add new products and remove old ones
• Include product attributes - size, colour etc
• Upload product images direct from your PC (these are automatically resized to create thumbnails)
• Highlight new/sale/out of stock items
• Link related items to particular products (you may also like ...)
• Set up promotional codes (as part of a marketing campaign)
• Add keywords and descriptions to all your pages to help the search engines find you
• Track and manage orders
