Online shop checklist

• Purchase your domain name and hosting. In order to ensure that your shop works effectively we ask you to use our recommended hosting company www.wiserhosting.com. Hosting costs just £25 a year.

• Set up an account with a payment service provider. We recommend www.paypal.co.uk or www.worldpay.com. We'll need your account information in order to integrate this with the shop.

• Get photographs of your products. Your suppliers may be able to provide these. If you're making the products yourself you can take the pictures or get a professional to do this. It's worth getting to grips with your digital camera so you can add new items quickly.

• Decide if you wish to charge postage and packing by the item or by order.

• Decide on the categories you wish to group your products into. We are happy to advise you on this.

• Start populating the shop with your products. That means adding images, descriptions and prices. We're happy to talk you through this and make sure you are showing your products in their best light.
